UYFC Donates 500 Million Riels to the National Paralympic Committee Ahead of Para Games 

PHNOM PENH: The Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) has donated 500 million riels to the "Most Hearts in the World" program of the BeyondTheGames campaign to the National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia.

The donation ceremony was attended by UYFC President, Hun Many, Secretary General of the National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia, Yi Veasna, the Executive Director of BeyondTheGames, Sok Sabayna, educational representatives and journalists on May 29, 2023.

Hun Many said, "While the amount of money donated cannot be compared to the sacrifice of the athletes, this donation shows the love, encouragement and unconditional support of the Cambodian people for Cambodian athletes."

He added that participating in this campaign is a show of solidarity and unity of the Cambodian people to support athletes through practical means in addition to showing the world once again that, Cambodia is small but the heart of the Cambodian people is big.

He wished the best to the athletes who will be competing in the upcoming 12th ASEAN Para Games and said that winning and losing is normal, but the spirit of helping each other is paramount as the host nation. 

He added, "When the athletes participate in the competition, the Cambodian people will always be with them, and no matter the results, the Cambodian people will always support them."
